About Helena Lyth
When I was asked by Familjetapeter to create a palette of colors, it was easy to be inspired by my own home.
My name is Helena Lyth and I am a true functionalism enthusiast. I grew up in a listed functionalist house and now live in my own with my husband, our three children, and two cats.
I am surrounded daily by colors that bring so much energy to life here at home.
Some of the colors are from the house's birth year, 1940 – colors that seem to be ingrained in the walls. Other colors are those I have added and think fit well with the functionalist house in 2022.
My Favorite Colors
- #156 Arbetsro is the newest color in my home, and as the name suggests, the place for this color is my study. It provides a lot of lovely energy that gives warmth and light all year round. And all year round has been important in my color choices, for what works well in bright June should also feel right in dark December.
- #W157 Matvila in our dining room is exactly that color.
- #159 Sovmorgon I developed together with my daughter, who is now redecorating her room. I have also used it as a woodwork color and painted a dresser with it. A true all-round color.
- #W158 Skafferi I would also say is an all-round color – it can be the perfect wall color where you want light but not white.
I hope you will be inspired by my colors and dare to paint at home with them!
